Year 512 after Grand Tragedy.
It was a cold night. As I was wondering in the dark, taking a little walk, I have seen that monster, but he was a strange one. I had never seen one like this before, at least, not in this place. I went close to him to see what would be his reaction, and to see clearly what kind of creature it was. When I was close enough, I realized it was a Zakum, but he had nothing to do there. These creatures were living in a forgotten part of the azran field, and they even made a castle to live there. I went near him, watching him closely to try to find out what he was doin there, when he suddenly talked to me. I was amazed. Never in my life a monster like this one had talked to me, and it happened right now. But the most surprising thing is what he actually said. He asked me if I wanted to buy anything from him, and showed me a few items he had in his pockets. There were potions and seven magical spheres, the seven crystals. How could such a creature talk, but mostly how the hell did he manage to get all these items, which were commonly used by humans? I decided to test his intelligence, and asked him who he was, and how he could actually talk and finally, where he found all these items. He just laughed at me, but in his laugh, I could feel all his sadness he was trying to hide. He explained me that he was the first human that cares about how he could actually talk, the first to actually stop and look at him. He firstly asked me if I knew how the thing I call ''monsters'' got here on the Earth. I was surprised of a such question. I asked myself a lot of times where they came from, but I never managed to find any answer to these questions. He then explained me that, after that the Great Hevenly War, the essence of all the dead traitor Seraphs got into the bodies of newborns everywhere on the Earth. After a few time, these childs were starting to transform into beasts and creatures of all kinds. He then told me that, even though he also was a rebellious Seraph, he learnt from his mistakes and turned the right way, as long as a lot of his clan members, the Zakums. They then decided to make a castle, and live there in peace. It worked for about 400 years, the life wasn't that great, but it still was acceptable. But, as the new powerful humans were raging into the continent and trying to annihilate every kind of monster, these powerful warriors managed to get a key of the castle, and slowly started to do raids on the village. They were seeking a magical creature that the cheif had ( and still has): the imp.
Worn on his shoulder, it helps his bearer during any fight, by randomly shooting flames at the enemy. A first human came and destroyed the camp, killing this Zakum's family and his chief, before looting him and taking the imp. But, surprisingly, right after he was gone, all the dead Zakums were brought back to life by a magical force, but they only were the shadow of themselves. They turned mindless, all they could do was fight each other. ''I couldn't live peacefully anymore in that village, and the next few days, more humans came to try to loot our chief, but the Zakums were ready, waiting with their weapons. After the third raid from the humans, it was the third time I seen my family dying, and they weren't themselves anymore. They only turned into warriors which only wanted blood. So, I took the first spear I had found, and stuck it into the heart of the fool human which killed my family. After he was dead, I couldn't stand up on my legs, realizing that I had destroyed all my principles by killing an innocent human. I decided to take what he was wearing, and get out of the village. I am now travelling around the fields, selling the items I got from him and others I find on my path to survive. I lately found out that, what was bringing us back to life was the poisonned water we were drinking, but at that time, I was too sad to do something about it, and even now, the massacre is still going on.'' After he told me all the story, I couldn't actually belive it...
To be continued...
